We do many wines but we do them very, very well indeed - one of our signature wines is an 'orange' wine, which goes by its ancient name Amber Wine.

An orange wine is a white wine with ancient origins and is made the same way as a red wine is made with contact on the skins.  This prolonged contact with the skins creates a unique wine, a natural wine utilising the yeasts on the skins and no filtering or fining.  Because white grapes are much lower in antioxidants they generally have an oxidised fino-like note.  They also have tannins, like a red wine does but a little less pronounced. Originally hailing from the Georgia region of the former USSR this method of making wine dates back more than 6,000 years.  Why not stop by our online shop and pick a few bottles!

We're all about quality, not quantity and in a relatively few years we have become a premium wine producer winning international awards. As demand has over the years outstripped supply we have by necessity become a producer as well as a grower and for some of our wines we use quality grapes grown in the wider Midlands region, working with great growers.

We produce a still white and a pink (pink for we are English), which are dry or off-dry wines that have a uniquely floral and fruity character that hints at the fruits and blooms of the English countryside and the hedgerow flowers that the grapes are enveloped by.  We also produce a premium sparkling wine that on its first competition outing bagged an International Wine Challenge Bronze Medal.  We even beat some top-priced grower Champagnes.

Our single varietal and blended wines sing like skylarks on the tongue.  Our wines are suitable for Vegans too.

Sustainability...

On our estate in the Amber Valley we practice regenerative viticulture, growing organically to work in harmony with nature to ensure we have healthy living soils that sequester more carbon and harness beneficial ecosystems to provide ecosystem services that look after our vines.  We are working gradually towards being a net zero carbon business too, indeed we're almost there! Our business premises are powered by wind and solar that we capture and store in batteries, which we use to power fridges, lighting, charge our portable generator batteries and our battery powered power tools, which includes strimmers and hedge cutters and so on.
