  • That decision is entirely up to you. We get asked often—please consider if you're comfortable to drive after the tasting. You're welcome to bring a designated driver or use alternative transport.
  1. Where do we book and how soon should we arrive?
  • Tours begin promptly at the time listed, so please plan to arrive a few minutes early to ensure a smooth start.

Gift Certificate Tour FAQs – Please Read Before Contacting Us

Thank you for choosing to visit Amber Valley Vineyards. If you’ve received a gift certificate, this page should answer the most common questions. As a small business, your understanding helps us manage bookings smoothly – we appreciate your patience and cooperation.

1. How do I book a tour using my gift certificate?

Please use the dedicated booking form at the link below:

You’ll be able to select your preferred tour date from the list of Scheduled Tours on the website.

2. I’ve submitted a booking form – when will I hear back?

Please bear in mind we are often busy with vineyard work and other duties. Acknowledgement may take some time – we thank you for your patience.
There is no need to chase unless you haven’t heard back after 10 working days.

3. Can I change my booking after it’s been made?

We strongly discourage change requests.
If you must request a change:

  • It may take a long time to process (if at all).
  • We cannot guarantee changes will be possible.
  • Change requests within 48 hours of the tour date (or 7 days for picnic box bookingswill not be accepted.

Please understand that managing changes is time-consuming and may not be feasible due to our small team and tight schedules.

4. How long is my certificate valid for?

All certificates are valid for 12 months from the issue date.

  • For example, a certificate issued in August 2025 is valid for any date up to and including August 2026.
  • A certificate issued in November 2025 will be valid for the entire 2026 season.

❗️Please note: September tour dates will not be available for August-issued certificates unless arranged well in advance before expiry. We strictly adhere to expiry deadlines.

5. What does the certificate include?

Each gift certificate covers:

  • A tour for two people
  • Any selected add-ons (like picnic boxes) are also for two people

6. Can I use my certificate for a Sunset Tour?

Only daytime tours are included in standard certificates.
To join a Sunset Tour, a separate upgrade must be purchased. These spaces are very limited.

If you choose to attend a daytime tour instead, the drink included in the Sunset Tour will not be provided.

7. Can I give my gift certificate to someone else?

No – certificates are not transferable, nor can they be exchanged or resold.

8. What if I want to contact you?

Please only use email for tour bookings and enquiries:

Email allows us to keep track of your booking and respond in an orderly manner.

9. Can I request a change to my booking after it’s been confirmed?

Once your booking is confirmed, we cannot guarantee any changes will be possible, especially at short notice.
As a small team, such requests take up valuable time and disrupt our operations.

Refund Policy for Tours and Gift Certificates

We’re a small, independent vineyard and we put a lot of care into running our tours. The following policy helps us manage expectations fairly for everyone:

1. Gift Certificates Are Non-Refundable

  • All gift certificates are non-refundable once issued.
  • We encourage recipients to book early and choose from the wide range of scheduled dates listed on our website.
  • If you are unable to find a suitable date, please contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate changes within the certificate’s validity period (12 months).

2. Booking Cancellations or No-Shows

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the booked tour (or within 7 days for bookings with food options such as picnic boxes) cannot be refunded or rescheduled, due to costs already incurred.
  • No-shows are considered forfeited bookings and are not eligible for rescheduling or refund.

3. Rescheduling Policy

  • We understand plans can change. We may be able to accommodate one reschedule request, provided:
  • It is made more than 7 days in advance (for food bookings), or more than 48 hours in advance (for non-food bookings).
  • It is within the validity period of your gift certificate.
  • All reschedules are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
  • Further change requests may not be accepted due to the administrative burden involved.

4. Weather and Cancellations by Us

  • Tours run in most weather conditions, but if we cancel a tour due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered:
  • rescheduled date, or
  • An extension to the validity of your certificate, where appropriate.

5. Exceptional Circumstances

  • While our policy is clear, we do appreciate that exceptional circumstances can arise. If something unavoidable happens (e.g., serious illness, bereavement), please get in touch by email at hello@ambervalleywines.co.uk, and we will consider options on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
